ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a Government program that provides discounts on monthly broadband Internet access service and certain connected devices.
Provided by Worx Wireless to its customers through support from the Federal Communications Commission.

This is a non-transferable discount program limited to one per household.

HOW TO QUALIFY

A household is eligible to receive an ACP discount if a member of the household meets one of the following criteria:

  • Food Stamps/SNAP

  • Medicaid

  • SSI: Supplemental Security Income

  • Veterans Pension Benefit or Survivors Pension

  • Section 8 or Federal Public Housing Assistance

  • School Lunch Program: Free and Reduced-Price

  • School Breakfast Program, including the USDA Community Eligibility Provisions for 2020-2022

  • Federal Pell Grant during the current award year

  • WIC: The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children

  • Tribal Specific Programs

    • Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) General Assistance

    • Tribal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (Tribal TANF)

    • Food Distribution Program on Indian Reserves (FDPIR)

    • Tribal Head Start Income Eligibility

The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is designed to help families and households struggling to afford Internet services. Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a non-transferable government assistance program limited to one discount per household. Proof of program participation will be required to demonstrate program-based eligibility. Only eligible consumers may enroll. Proof of income or program participation is required. Acceptable documentation of program eligibility includes (1) the current or prior year’s statement of benefits from a qualifying federal or Tribal program; (2) a notice letter of participation in a qualifying federal or Tribal program; (3) program participation documents (such as the consumer’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) electronic benefit transfer card or Medicaid participation card (or copy thereof)); or (4) another official document evidencing your participation in a qualifying federal or Tribal program. The Affordable Connectivity Program provides a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a tablet from participating providers, available once per eligible household. If you have already received this discount towards a connected device from another participating provider, you will not be able to receive this discount again.

The Affordable Connectivity Benefit (ACP) is a broadband benefit program operated by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) that provides discounts on monthly broadband internet access service and specific connected devices. The ACP will provide a discount of up to $30 per month towards broadband service for eligible households and or up to $75 per month for households on Tribal lands, as defined by FCC rules. Eligible households can also receive a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from participating providers if they contribute more than $10 and less than $50 toward the purchase price. The ACP monthly service and device discounts are non-transferable. An eligible household is limited to one monthly service discount and one device discount. ACP benefits may be obtained from any participating provider of your choosing, and your monthly service benefits may be transferred to another provider at any time. The ACP discount may be applied to any available Worx Wireless service plan. Consumers eligible for Lifeline are automatically eligible for ACP; however, they must opt into the program to enroll in ACP broadband services. The ACP plan is separate from the Lifeline Plan. . Should the FCC announce an end to the ACP, Worx Wireless will notify consumers.
